I played cod 4 with a friend and he got banned but not me. We both have iXtreme but i have a BenQ dvd and he has a samsung. It seems strange that only samsung and hitachi dvd´s  have been reported as banned.

does this only happens when you play a backup on live? or it happens whenever you long on with an original

no one with any authority can tell you anything right now, let them look at the logs they have been taking since the first iXtreme, im sure once they have checked the logs they will know what hit us, and maybes even how to counter it.

A banned box every now and again is a small price to pay to make sure the only discs my console eats are of the recordable kind.
Even a few copys of halo 3 LE came pre scratched for that authentic xbox texture.

In fact, i got me a kreon drive just before the last banning wave and since then my console has not tasted an original disc, considering my first xbox ate 3 games on launch day at a cost of 60GBP each.

IMO sure i would love to be garaunteed that i will be fine for all eternity, even if i was not going to just return my xbox to the store i would happily buy another core pack, they are ten a penny and the money i have saved making backups of my discs and being able to sell the original in mint condition when im done playing (all backups destroyed of course as per the law) as opposed to mini ice rinks totally makes up for it.

Great work C4EVA, looking forward to your next release!

I don't expect there to be too many "survivors" once this is all said and done.  My brother's and a friend of his 360 that I had modded were banned this time around, they had made it through the last banhammer.  Microsoft has obviously figured this out.  Good for them though.  Software piracy hurts the market.
