You're at the right place. My advice to you is to go beat the shit out of that guy. Thats just wrong to sell a modded xbox to somebody who never really used a UNMODDED xbox. It can get a bit confusing.
Anyway, How much room is on the G drive? Because that doesnt sound right to have a 100GB HDD with no F drive. But he was right, you can copy games to the HDD and play it without the disk (it will even load faster).

BTW- Read alot of tutorials to gain knowledge, thats what we all did. I have a link to a VERY comprehensive list of tutorials at the bottom of my post in the signature.

I'm trying to help you out here. You just have to answer my question, how much room does your G drive have?
And Yes, all you need is the xbox and a game.
There are 2 different dashboards EvoX, and Avalaunch (there are a whole lot more, but those are our main focus). My best guess is that you have a evox bios and a avalaunch dashboard. I'm not familiar with the Avalaunch dash, but there should be an option to copy games to the HDD. If you cant find that option then you will have to manually install the games. I can tell you how to install games manually, but I REALLY need my question answered before we go any further.

and also, I think you're right about the evox bios, although when I go to the system settings and look under "BIOS", I see:

BIOS Version:   Unknown
Kernel Version:  1.00.5838.01
XBOX Hardware info:   00000230 A3 D4

and thank you so much for trying to help me out

If you have a torx 20 screwdriver around, pop open that bad beast and look at the hdd, and tell us how many GB it is.

Good luck!

What model is that HDD? I can tell you if it is stock or not. biggrin.gif
From the sound of it, it is the stock HDD. But IAmCanadian can be right, it just may need to be formatted.

Here's a link to the HDD info : Seagate's Official Info.  These guys are right.. you need to lay an ass beating on that guy.  On the upside, if you happen to find a great deal on a large HDD, we can help you finish the mod.

You mean the F: & G: partitions? Yes, as they are not used on a stock XBox HDD.
