I got my friends EEPROM as well, and gonna change my MAC. Greatstuff, I HOPE MS doesn't turn around and start banning us for being online at the same time.

Another question, which might be totally n00b, but anyways;

If I buy a NEW Xbox, with a mod chip that can be turned on and off, don't change ANYTHING, I would be able to play Live when the mod chip is turned off, right? As in, I don't need to hack anything, since the default factory settings are ok. Or will I still get trouble with the mod chip eventho it's turned off when playing Live?

Great job with testing this out guys, I'm glad somebody finally went ahead and tried it instead of just saying it wouldn't work. I noticed you mentioned changing the mac address in the eeprom to get it working for both of you in the same game. Since there is concern about wether this will get you banned or not (changing the eeprom), couldn't you just spoof a mac address with the xbox (in the network settings it allows you to do this). I was just curious if that would work since it wouldn't require people to change their unbanned eeprom at all. Thanks. Later.

you can't do that cause changing the mac address in the network settings is just for ur internet connection, not for the xbox mac.

we are waiting to see if we will be banned cause we changed the mac address, i think we will but hopefully i am wrong.

don't try it yet, especially changing the mac cause we are still waiting to see if we will get banned from changing the mac.

you will not get banned as long as u turn off ur modchip & play originals.
