All backups I have made will not play on this system... Test Drive Unlimited, Forza Motorsport, Assassin's Creed, and Beautiful Katamari.

The drive initially spins up and attempts to read then cuts to scan and click thing for at least 4 tries then I get "Unplayable Disc"

The original copies play however....

Hi mate,

I have exactly the same problem (same dvd-rom, same firmware). I have tried everything, and tomorrow I'm gonna try using one of my two 47dh readers (I have to change the dvd key).

I'm sorry but I have come to the conclusion that the 47dj drive is the problem. Just wait until I try and post the result, but I'm afraid this is going to be the only solution. If so, you can get a 47dh reader from hong kong for a very affordable price, just check ebay.

Could you elaborate what this "reader" is? I'm not well read on this topic I guess....
