Trying To Flash A Ts-h943a 9 (ms25)
« on: April 25, 2008, 06:14:00 PM »

hey,
I have flash some 360's before (so I have a little experience).   But this is my first samsung/Toshiba drive...

I get it to boot into the dos program fine but then it says "No Drives Detected".

Its a TS-H943A with MS25 on it.

I'm using a Via 2461 card.

I've tried booting into the dos program using a floppy and a thumbdrive, both work....but "no drives detected" always comes up.

I have raid turned off, and all other drives (dvd drives & hard drives) dissconnected.

I have been using Iprep 101 V.006

firmware version is 1.3.

please help me out.

Did you check the 'patch mtkflash' box in iPrep?

Are you using the primary port on the card?

Its the one opposite the external sata port, nearest the front of the case.

BTW 1.4 is the latest iXtreme for Samsungs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

k, I checked the MTK checkbox, ans yes its hooked up to the primary port on the card, and I now have the 1.4 firmware.

It (the xtreme master drive) now shows up, but here's my new problem.

now it gets hung up when I'm trying to read the firmware....

At first I kept doing the 10 second trick ting...but after reading enough forums I found out that if yo have a 'never been flash before' drve with MS25 on it, you dont do the 10 sec trick.

So I'm not real crsyal clear as to when(or if) I should turn the 360 off and stuff. I've tried different times and even not turning it off at all, but the end result is the same. It starts reading the firmware (i think), one times it got as high as 16%...

usually it hangs up at 0% or 1%.

heres a picture of my problem.

Murc

Try dosflash 32, I had the same sort of problem as you mate, using an mforce 430 mp51 board..

Dosflash worked first time in windows..

Forgot to say, same ms-25 as yourself..
