biggrin.gif  If you're running a turbo-ed import it's fairly cheap money to make big power over most comparably priced American cars, usually lighter weight too. Though unless I was going with something like an M car I probably wouldn't buy an import unless it had a Turbo.

Back in college we had an auto-cross every other week. Once week a guy with a newish Camero SS showed up (sweet car BTW, I've had the pleasure of driving one on several occasions). After sizing up his car a bit and doing a test run it was determined that it was so big that it physically couldn't fit through the course  laugh.gif

It was pretty funny.

As for labeling imports as "ricers" what about all those sweet European cars? like the BMW M3, Audi S4, or VW R32.  love.gif

I don't care if you're a pure straight line power fan or a tight handling track fan. No one car argue with the M series cars. HUGE amounts power (especially in the newer models) and better handling than just about anything under the sun, all wrapped up in European refinement, with a back seat and a boot!

Hey do you have any mods/additions to your 82 camaro? I have an 83 z28 with a 305 TPI and they are virtually the same car. Im lookin into this twin turbo kit for it. Im not sure how much it costs, the website doesnt list a price. But it will boost me to about 600hp atleast at the wheels. I can beat most ricers with my stock car and it costs atleast 5x less. I love Camaro's and basically any Muscle car... accept the Mustang. Im not much of a Stang fan, accept the Mach 1.

and lets not forget the Shelby series.

I haven't got any mods yet for a couple of reasons.  The main ones are money and I still need to fix a couple of (minor lol) leaks.  Too much oil goes into that car.  But I didn't really pay too much for the car in the first place.  ($1500)

as for what model I have, its got Cross Fire Injection (may change this however) 305 5.0.  Out of all the 305s made this year, mine had a slightly better compression ratio. (lucky me biggrin.gif )
I think it was 9.5:1

the one thing I regret about it is that its an automatic sad.gif

Mine is a Cross Fire Injection as well. Mine has the same leak problem, i add atleast a quart every 2 weeks. I plan on buyin a beater here soon to get me around and tear my engine apart and totally rebuild it. Plus it will keep me out of trouble.
