Xlcd Support / Usb Boot Support For X-dsl Linux?
« on: May 25, 2005, 10:28:00 AM »

The way cromwell works at the moment it is not possible to do a full usb boot where the kernel, initial ramdisk, linuxboot.cfg and the root filesystem all reside on a usb flash drive. This is because cromwell doesn't have the necessary usb-storage support needed to read a usb flash drive.

It would be possible to boot the root filesystem off a usb flash drive if the kernel and initial ramdisk are loaded from the Xbox hard disk/DVD drive. I've already put together a initial ramdisk for this if you want to try.

Also I'm not aware of any way to control the X-LCD in linux, but then again I'm not familiar with how the X-LCD works.
