Artifex: Not sure if i received different model but X-Chip will not fit ( too close to case edge) . Did you try yourselves with X-Chip or assumed would work. It is a longer board then others.

Got it in. The Xenium screen is awesome to see for the first time.

Now to figure out what to do from here.

Ran into trouble. After I set up the original BIOS and tried running with them, I got a "service required, call customer support" error screen. Why did this happen, is there something wrong with the installation?

EDIT:

Nevermind, just had to lock the HD.

I need this clarified:

Using the 1.6 adapter, can I install the X3 chip without any soldering whatsoever? That includes, D0, HD, and Lan wire solders, etc. Yes or no?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you only use the guide for 1.6 installs... for 1.0/1.1 models I'm pretty sure you just use the black base part of the adapter.

Yep, their web page states that ALL preorders have been shipped...Still no tracking number on my account on their page or in my email...also, no response in their IRC channel (from them)...
