This will not work with any 5V powered modchips ( aka X3, XChip, X-Lite, etc ) 100%.

Hey artifex, you still never mentioned the alt 5v source.  I understand that your are bothered when someone knocks your product, but he is right, the adapter will not work with an x3 on a 1.6.  The x3 needs the alt 5v source and there is no method of getting that power from your adapter.  Sorry, but its the truth.

Just received my S.P. Ice!! I'm going to put it in right after I head to Best Buy for a hard drive. Oh, and the surprise is a $5.00 rebate, very generous of modwhiz to make up for the delays. Quick question, if need be, can I install a 7200 rpm in the Xbox? Thanks in advance.

I'm still trying to figure out how they plan on getting the alt 5v without using pin 6.  Care to shed any DETAILS on this artifex?  All you said was it is gonna have configurations, yet you give no details on this.  All I would like to know is how do you plan on getting the alt 5v?  And for the record, I was quite good at wheres waldo puzzles and there is no need to be a smart ass.  All I did was merely bring up a valid point that there is no NOTICEABLE way to get the alt 5v from the pics YOU released.  All I would like to know is how you go about getting the 5v from a source other than pin 6.

No, I'm afraid I can't give you DETAILS just yet.  You'll get DETAILS in good time, when the X3 configuration is released.  The configuration point for the Alt-5v is, indeed, NOTICEABLE in the pictures that WE released.

Excuse me for the incredibly noobish question. But is getting a new hard drive a must have if you plan on installing the SP.ICE? Or for that matter any modchip?

Also what do you guys think of modchipstore.com? I pre-ordered the Official Xodus Xenium SP.ICE Modchip and adapter from them. Are they trustworthy?
