Ok now I am highley upset.  I placed my order with Divineo.com 2 weeks ago
I figured they were just laying low and not advertising that when they were shipping them.  Well now I wish I would have canceled that order and purchased from Modwhiz.com.   Anyone out there have any clue if and when Divineo.com is shipping orders?

This will not work with any 5V powered modchips ( aka X3, XChip, X-Lite, etc ) 100%.

This design using teh Standby 5V on LPC pin #6 which means when you make chnage sin BIOS or wnat to disable chip you must unplug power cord and reinsert to make changes.

Truely FALSE advertising by Xodus, as saying truly solderless and compatible with all 4th gen modchips.

As for the X3 and HDD/LAN leds, you can just run those wires directly to modchip and not use the header soldereding in 3 pins, but you will still be lacking 5V needed for it so, you will be curring a trace on white PCB and soldering a true 5V and not 5VSB to the modchips.  Or not use them!

As for modwhiz' lets see call you Tuesday your not at office, you state pickups on Thursday no one in office or answering emails or phone calls, and office hours on machine, Friday call and message from thursday stating no one working all shipped, now on Friday say working overtime to ship.  Seems miss organized big time, as no one at office on Griffith Wednesday/Thursday/Friday at any hours( yes i work a mear 4-5 blcoks away and visitied/tried to visit several times ).  Please PM me, ASAP very disappointed in delays.  Now Friday afternoon changes to Monday message no one in office till then.

Hi Christine Young,

I will let Xodus answer your post for themselves.

As for us, if you are the person I spoke to on the phone that wanted to pass by our office to pick it up but did not want to wait for the bus, then I do not see what your problem is.

We do not do local pickups from our office location per say, we do make some exceptions sometimes. As for us being in the office, we are there 9-5 weekdays  and much later usually. We have a couple locations in that building for starters not to mention I do not even recall giving you our suite number so how could you make such statements. We have a sales and shipping office in that building for security reasons, so you may have caught us while we were shipping packages.

As for the phone, we intentionally closed the phone line from wedsnday-friday with an informative message explaining the situation to everyone to alleviate the high volume of calls we were receiving to focus on getting everything done.

Oh... it's Sunday and we are at the office, guess you are right... we're never here.

Thank you for your concerns and telling us how we (mis)-run our business without any knowledge of the day to day operations.

Regards,

I find it interesting that you attempt to make a post sound knowledgeable, talking about the standby well, voltage requirements, and so forth.... yet I count, at a glance, at least a dozen grammatical and/or spelling mistakes, which is an impressive count for a mere 4-5 sentances!  May I make a friendly suggestion that the next time you try to make a post "sound smart" you should perhaps start with a basic grasp of the language in which you're communicating.  If english is not your first language, perhaps you should have someone more versed in the grammar review your statement before publicly humiliating yourself as such.

I find it even more interesting that this seemingly "informed" post contains such a drastic count of fallacies, misinformation, and ill-founded assumptions.  I see that our competition has not been remiss in it's obligation of trying to downplay our superior design skills at every opportunity.  They take advantage of every slight chance, no matter how absurd, to get an anti-Xodus word in edgewise.

If you had actually examined the design a bit further you would have, perhaps, noticed another reason that the X3 "won't work," that being the lack of the smbus pins.  However, you would have likely noticed that there are a set of holes in place of where those smbus pins should be.  A closer inspection might reveal that the pins of the adapter would fit nicely into these holes, or nicely out of them, in whatever configuration were required.  The adapter pictured in the SPICE package is configured for a Xenium modchip, as it SHIPS WITH a Xenium modchip, and the assumption is that it is going to be used with that chip.  Other configurations for other chips will, of course, be available.... For example, an X3 configuration with the smbus pins in the smbus pin spots, and the dreaded v1.6 5v standby-well power removed.

Yes, you heard me correctly, we've even taken the time to bother to design around the poor design skills of our competitors, solving their problems for them.  They, instead, seem to choose to spend their time starting rumors, spreading misinformation, and trying to make themselves look good in spite of their own doings.

The fact that there is a 1.6 solderless solution should be cause for celebration, not trite attacks from competitors with no competing product.

At any rate, this is far more of a response then your original post warranted in the first place, so I'll be moving along now.

Thank you for your patronage,

Hey artifex, you still never mentioned the alt 5v source.  I understand that your are bothered when someone knocks your product, but he is right, the adapter will not work with an x3 on a 1.6.  The x3 needs the alt 5v source and there is no method of getting that power from your adapter.  Sorry, but its the truth.

Artifex: If you would had read my response more closely, i noted the 3 pins which i suggested to thers to wire directly rather then pin headers.  I nearly pointed out a issue of the 5V only used by a few chips anyways but when you/Xodus stated works with Xecuters designs, you may have added that a true 5V source is suggested.  Its always best to hear feedback, rather then to reflect and think you are #1 all the time, improvements always enhance a product but then again how many revisions of Chameleon( i have at least 3 ) and Xeniums( I have at least 2 )  did you have?  All improvements after initial design.  As for grammer, so be it if i don't speak native english 100%.  BTW I have yet to read any rumours about this product from competition, or are you( xodus ) scared of the secrecy of the LED's ( Voltage high for connection diagnostics ). Simple concept!

Do you honestly expect by saying compatible with other modchips you are not putting yourselves up to support what you called "poor design" as you state compatible. I just pointed out obvious.

Your product does work on your products, but maybe clarification as you mention  #1 selling competition compatible ( X3 ) which will make your sales skyrocket, you must be prepared for support as well and have explaination handy on why a 1 wire solution for voltage maybe required.

You could had also noted about the smbus pins that if used pogo pins, soldering to underside may cause issues so your forethough and devised simple pin header install method for these 3 pins.

Agin sorry for my english, but if you can't take critisism, to make improvements what use is listening and addreessing using issues.

BTW I must admit the rerouting of the D0 for old systems( black plastic pogo pin adapter )  to use as a LAD line creative and simple concept on PCB.  Simplicity is sometimes the best way.
