Yes, you can use any size thats currently sold, I think. But you can definately use a 250gb.

yes, i've got two 250's

when you go over 254-256gb? you need to format "clusters" or something like that, they say it's easy, but i stopped at 250gb

edit the bios to either have a large f drive or an f and g drive(search for it, it's been covered too many times)

You using the Evox dash or bios/both? The Xecuter 1959 is made specific for the chip, I suggest using it. Evox M8 has a bug that doesn't let it recognize larger than 137gb. I've had no probs with my 400gb using the 1959 bios.

where are these people complaining about not being able to use large drives. ive been using m8 bios for quite a while now and never had a problem from my 160 to 400. always sees everything without a hitch.

So, as I said, 1959 is far more advanced and easier to use, for one, because there is no need to alter it and can be reconfig'd "live".

christ youre an idiot. theres no need to alter the m8 bios either unless like i said you have a g drive. if thats the case then you would have to edit your 1959 bios as well. oOOooh i can edit the bios on the box using a tool instead on my pc. its the x3 chip and the live software that makes the bios what it is. not the bios itself.

while im not denying the x3 bios/chip are quite a nifty combo, its more bells and whistles that i dont really want. i dont see how either bios is better though.
