X-ecuter 2 eXtreme FCC Cable

Price: $17 + shipping

LoL, that's pretty funny, eXtreme-Mods is charging more for the FCC cable than the X2Pro costs to make, lol.

Not worth it...just be careful with the cable.  North worth $17+shipping to replace a part that probably cost pennies to manufacture.

In all honesty, a 37 cent stamp to mail it to ya costs more than the cable costs them... LoL

Some info about FFC cables:
Minimum order quantity --- 1000 pieces
Delivery time --- 5-6 weeks

I remenmber that many people used to have destroyed PS2 consoles,
because of a Ribbon Cable...

Thank you eXtreme-Mods for a respectable reply to everyone's whining.  I'm sure that if they were ever shit out of luck with a broken FCC cable they would pay any price to get their box back in order.

There are many ways to recover a broken chip,
without a PC needed...

FCC is needed to connect an X2 Pro to its external programmer... the chip won't boot without being connected to the programmer... so I'm 99% sure there is no way around having a broken FCC cable.  I was asking Team X to make the chip work without the external programmer, but they said it wasn't an important feature.

QUOTE (Ubergeek @ Apr 5 2003, 09:29 AM)
ive screwed with hundreds of these cables over the last couple of months and not broken one ssingle cable

the only reason for damage is heavy handidness by electrically inexperienced users

and before i get flamed on that comment - ive hundreds of mails from "soldering professionals" "electrical experts" "electricians" "electronic engineers" who's work was an absolute joke and a donkey ccould have done better. the firt step towards doing a good job is admitting to yourself you are not THAT good, and then taking your time and following instructions (inc those ppl who damage their mods from fitting it the wrong way around - but then say the X2 is shit cus it damaged their system ???? )

ok now you caan flame wink.gif

ubergeek, I agree 100% with this. BTW: X2 Pro is the best in my opinion. If people can't take their time and follow the excellent tutorials then shame on them. It understand people who try and rush.  Read first and if it looks like you can't do it, then find someone who will for ya. This stuff can be very stressful at times.
