Craxtion Beta
« Reply #60 on: February 04, 2003, 10:15:00 PM »

Just got the new version and i Like what i see and feel! i like the idea of being able to download skins from in the program, the only thing is would it be possible to just extract them to the Themes folder in craxtion (obvioubsly in there own folder) as when you have to import 22 seperately it takes a while. Or just make it multi batch import. Anyway i must say this is a must have program if you burn stuff to cds for your xbox. Keep up the good work guys!

Thanks for the suggestions.  Very helpful as I will look into your thoughts and see what I can do.

Session number 2 and above will not be readable with some DVD-ROM drives
and operating systems prior to Windows XP.
How do you want to continue.
Burn multisession anyways
Burn without multisession

This is new to NERO.. as the new NERO has XBOX support!  Don't be alarmed.. this is normal.  Nero is simply acknowledging that the ISO is unique.

Perhaps it updates some runtimes that critical update simply isn't removing.  I know Craxtion doesn't require msinet.ocx, so I would presume it's one of the required runtimes looking for it.

LepPpeR:
I was taking a look at craxtion.ini and the themes section looks like this.

[THEMES]
1
Default
multifilesscreen.png
multifileswait.png
multifilesdefault.png

I deleted the ini and let Craxtion regenerate it and it looks the same.  Should these entries follow the item=value model, or no?  I just updated to 1.1, and I don't do any multigame discs, so I don't know what effect, if any, this has on the tool's functionality.

nah, the .ini is actually pretty simple

[THEMES]
1 <----How many themes you have installed
Default  <----Theme title
multifilesscreen.png     <----Pic
multifileswait.png   <-----Pic
multifilesdefault.png   <----Pic

when the ini is deleted it creates the original .ini so that people can continue using it

LepPpeR

p.s - yeah, try to reinstall the runtimes and upgrade to version 1.1 to see if that solves your problems.

LepPpeR - Again

Hmmm... seems kind of odd. The GetPrivateProfileXXX API is much simpler then creating a custom parser.

LepPpeR - Why not use the API to do the config files? It would make it more flexible in the future....

INI file is decent for configuration, though I like XMLs extensibility, nesting and attributes features. That's why I've started using an XML parser with MXM (it also works in Windows, too)

Okay.  I wouldn't have though anything of it, but the "[Startup Preferences]" section of the INI contains "ISO_MODE = 2" or "ISO_MODE = 1".  I just noticed the sections weren't consistent with each other, and figured I'd run it by you.

Does the MultiGame Wizard support IGR?
I am a big fan of MediaXMenu unfortunately it does not have IGR support yet.

Suggestions for MultiGame
1. Allow .jpg/.gif/.png for the screenshot files.  (MediaXMenu allows this).
2. have IGR, or code a reset switch.  I hate the fact to power down the xbox wait a couple of seconds then power back on to play a different game.

Other then that Craxtion is AWESOME.

Well, Team Xecutor is working on the problem with IGR (they didn't see anything obvious on the first pass, and I've givent hem an ISO of MXM and X-Marbles that illustrates the problem for better testing).

They've got better tools than I do at the moment, particularly for debugging the BIOS itself. Hopefully, the problem will be resolved soon.

The Evolution-X guys don't want to help it seems; I've made public pleas for them to open source their IGR code, but I've never gotten a response. That's a real shame.

Still, MXM **WILL** be the one to get, if the BIOS-IGR issue is resolved and if the X2 BIOS gets the feature I think it will shortly biggrin.gif
