My original XBox HDD died...no reason, it just bloody died. And I want to restore this Xbox so I can play xbox live (it is not banned or anything by the way). Yet all the tutorials speak of use of the original HDD. I have no original HDD, it is dead, and the info on it is not accesable. I would just buy a new HDD, install, lock it, and be back on live. I dont rip games, only burn, so I have no use for a large hDD, just a standard 8-10 gigs to make my xbox alive again. Can somebody help me out? Thanks

get another hd and find the evox hdd tool, u have to have the c: drive on there, i will post on newsgroups, it will have the c: drive on there for ya!!

hey, I thought you needed your own box specific files to have it work without modchip.

And he wants to run it without modchip to go on live.

Am I wrong?
