a friend of me just bought a new xbox (1.1) and what a surprise when opening it (to put a matrix in it): there is a 20 gb seagate drive in it !
Has anyone got one of these new H ?
(the XBOX was made in china, it is a 1.1 PAL , it have a phillips DVD, it was bought in France)

Cheapest drive they can get en masse... Cheaper to buy up 20 giggers than pay to have the 8 gig units go back into production.

This is not a new situations. 20gig HD drives are very common in Xboxs. Like somebody said above, the production of 8 gig harddrives doesnt really exist anymore, so they just take the cheapest one they can find and it happens to be a 20 gig. <
