Well, it looks like this emulator of the Dreamcast for the PC called Icarus is coming out sometime before we all die of old age. To boot, it plays a few commercial games (from the screenshots, however, it looks to be that at least the graphics are all fucked up... he's using an interpreter core, so that'd give the reason why).
Who knows, maybe by the middle of next year the emulator will be released, playable, and OPEN SOURCED. So then, maybe, I could take all my backups of the DC and ISO'em on to the XBox's HDD and play from there.
I found this info at www.dcemulation.com . The news item from it is still there.... but, if you do a word search, you'll find a 3D renderer for the DC that's also called Icarus first. Search down the page a little... it's there. Trust me, I'm not making it up. =-)
