Ps2 And Rips

The latest PlayStation2 mods don't need any disc swapping, that should help. Anyway, the problem with the disc swapping is that your bootdisc will eventually get sratched.

yeah the latest modchip for ps2 don't need swapping but i would actually advise against playing rips on the ps2 though... ( cd-rips of dvd-rom originals)...

I've also had a ps2 with neo2.2 and then messiah v5. One of them that i have been playing rips on, eventually had a bad laser problem. It seems that rips would make ur laser work harder for the same amount time that it does for a normal dvd-rom based game, if i do remember correctly.

Just listen to your ps2 playing dvd rips, ..it sounds terrible and noisy all the time while u are playing ! .. makes my heart ache .....

Best bet, get a dvd-burner ... at least at the moment, i don't think there are many games that are dual layer YET....

GT Concept and Xenosaga are the only DVD9 games I'm aware of.
