2 Consoles, 1 Hdd - Without Removing Hdd?
« on: February 03, 2010, 05:45:00 AM »

I have two consoles, 1 flashed and 1 unflashed.

I am sharing 1 HDD between both consoles, it's just the standard microsoft 120Gb HDD, not some fancy jtag iso-loading drive smile.gif  The swapping works fine and the flashed console isn't banned so there's no problem with corrupt profiles and saves.

But it's annoying to keep swapping the HDD in and out so often, especially since the consoles are in a cabinet so my access is limited, and often the HDD refuses to just slide in easily, it's hard to align it properly so I have to jiggle it for ages...

Question : has anybody ever seen a single HDD that is kept external and plugged in to 2 consoles, with some sort of switch to choose which console it's connected to?  That would be an ideal solution...

I would prefer a ready-made product but I haven't found anything like that, so any idea on what parts I would need and sources?

Thanks
