From T3CH readme/nfo:
QUOTE
New Dashboard install method
Thanks to a new app called 'Team UIX's Xbe Shortcut Maker v1.0' by JbOnE, it's now extremely easy...
Edit XBMC\xboxmediacenter.xml to your liking & transfer contents of XBMC folder TO (this is VERY important) "E:\APPS\XBMC\". Rename <<RENAME_ME.xbe>> to something your bios can boot  (see http://manual.xboxmediacenter.de/wakka.php...BMCAsDash#h44-2 or read your BIOS README)  and transfer to your C partition. No need to fiddle with HOME tag anymore, and future upgrades you won't  need to worry about this file on C.

You can add more scripts and skins yourself if desired. You can download them from http://allxboxskins.com, http://www.xbox-skins.net and http://www.xbmcscripts.com.
Keep in mind this is a CVS snapshot of the current development tree. It's not a official (stable) point release. Use only if you know what you are doing.

You know, I agree with Jezz...it's not so much that it's a big hassle to change it, it just looks kinda stupid and is a hassle that you even have to change it back in the first place.

On the positive side, the new DVD function is awesome.  The way the button appears and disappears on the default skin whether or not a DVD is in the drive is incredibly slick.  Nicely done!

well, I linger alot in #xbmc, and a quite common question is:

n00b: How do I see who made the build I'm running ?

also, in the splash's defense, how long is it onscreen ? 1 second max

but you're free to do whatever you want, as usual

Well, if this is the issue, might I suggest something that doesn't seem so hastily thrown together?

I mean, here's something I just threw together (hastily ;) ) but it doesn't look like I just put some words on in paint.  For what it's worth, I think something along these lines is a bit easier on the eyes.

edit: looks better on a TV than it does on a monitor...

double edit:  ugh, the imageshack...

Well I was more complaining about the way they did it with the stupid LCD font.  Just so I don't sound like a total winger heres 2 versions of the splash I did using the proper font from the logo

If anyone from team t3ch is reading feel free to use them in your next build I like the second one better the first is a little crowded  :)

Yeah, that second one is like I was goin for but I don't have any good fonts/skiils with the gimp.  Looks very nice, in my opinion.  I love you Jezz!

When playing music and using Milkdrop as vis*, xbmc gets slower and slower. If i browse the menus the skin lose the pictures and gets black. I can see the menu though.

MilkDrop.vis is available inside the visualisations folder.

What can be the problem here? And why is the location on Q: ? I don't have a Q: partition.

Thanks
