I used the old fantools with patcher to flash my speed back, works just fine with fsd2. Got fsd2 set to auto launch with dashlaunch I'm all set, I really like the new skinning options and all.

It seems FSD 2.0 shows up on your gamertag as a game. I hope this gets changed in a future update.

Thats odd they didnt pt the fan speed into the alpha. Its a very important thing to alot of people with older xbox like myself (who is actually fixing 3rrod on his machine right now >_> )

It can see my games fine but for some reason it kept putting "Bioshock 2, Call Of Duty 4, Halo 3: ODST, Mirror's Edge" in the homebrew folder I had to edit the fsd2content.xml file myself to get them to post in the games folder. Only other thing I notice is I don't have the status bar.

That might happen if you patched the games, they will read as devkit. You can prevent this manuall editing
by setting <path retail='360' devkit='360'>hdd1:\whatever</path>
you will have to delete the fsd2content.xml to let it rescan.

i also dont see the statusbar (no rss, no ip, no temps, no hdd info, no contantscanning info....)
...
editing hdd1\launch.ini with ftp causes fsd2 to post a crash message and does not change/update the file
...

status bar is shown by pressing BACK,
and that ini might be in use when its beeing overwritten (it works fine on my machine though)

this is because we added a proper resource file (icon, etc). this will not change in future releases.

oh well had a chance to put this on, seamed good set my locale to en-UK but I dont get any cover art etc for my games etc. Maybe it needs different areas setting.

I just made a quickboot shortcut for this but I dont have the fsd png icon does anyone have it someplace?

last of all has anyone tried to use this with dash launch yet? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

seems to have major problems listing things for me too. i am currently autosorting. going to try forcing all folders and see if it makes a difference. i currently have 321 arcade games and a few are definately not showing up. eg trials hd. emulators get autosorted to homebrew but obviously thats why the example is there for editing your fsd2content.xml. is there a path to enter for videos? i cant get mine to show yet.

yeah, change your launch.ini to direct to the correct folder. seems to be too many problems for me so far though, going to change back to 1.20 until im happy with 2.0

On first launch of FSD2 it asks you whether you want to save to HDD or USB, and further adds that if you save to HDD you have to use the content indexer over FTP.

Does this method use a program like FSD 1.2 that just hasnt been included yet? Or is there another method of getting covers etc over FTP that I'm missing?

Isn't that quite a bad idea? Does this information not get uploaded when I sign in to Live on my Gamertag?

Thanks Team FSD for releasing the Alpha for us to all try out.  Obviously this is just for testing purposes and no one should even consider using this as a replacement dash until it goes beta at the very least.

Again, this is an alpha guys.. you will find issues and bugs.  I used it for 5 minutes and messed up the custom dash to have just black letters on a black background.

It's fantastic to see the potential that this dash will have when finished.  Very impressed!

That's a deal breaker for me. Oh well, such is life.
