call me a simpleton but i dont get the xmlconfig bit at all.

im from the uk so would the locale be en-UK or have i to stick with with en-US.

and the next part about the path is way beyond my understanding.

i have an external 1tb with emulators, games on it then rest of my content is on my 120gb (arcade and dlc).

any help or an edited xmlconfig would be a lot of help!

ok not to worry so the first thing is your location put " en-UK " in there because you are from the UK and the second thing with the <path> where ever your games are located on the harddrive you simply have to direct fsd to them and example would be <path>hdd1:\content\0000000000000000</path> or another which is like mine is <path>hdd1:\games</path> or if its on a usb the <path>usb1:\games</path>. hope that helps

I feel like an idiot too, I can't even get the XML file to open!

Gives me this error whatever program I try to open it with:

'Missing equals sign between attribute and attribute value. Error processing resource 'file:///F:/fsd2config.xml'. Line 13,...

 <Music Path='' MUST be in GAME:\ />'

Edit: Ugh definitely being an idiot. Just needed to use Notepad.

ta for the help, but do i delete all the stuffs in between
                 <paths>
      
   </paths> and then add what you are suggesting?

plus do i add one for the emulators folder on the usb drive?

my chance to help with the opening bit, right click on the config xml and open with notepad.

can you please post an examlpe of a full xml file for an (probably)idiot like me.
i changed all things over a dozen times and i still don't get any games to be shown.

would really appreciate it so i can check is i do something wrong.

Hi guys I cant seam to get the indexing working at all. I have kept my hdd simple just 1 extracted game (GTA 4) in hdd1:\games and then 2 xbox live arcade games. They show up fine but do not indext and pull down cover art etc.

my config is (I tried en-UK as well).

I cleared game data and restarted and still got the same, anyone have any ideas why its not working?
