Just to check the obvious, did you plug in both connections back to the drive? Is the ones on the motherboard connected? Do they feel loose?

Probably, you need a new drive. So you have to tried to load games and movies?

Hello,

Two quick questions

Question1:
I cannot figure out how to post a new topic.  Either because I'm a complete moron or I do not have perms.  Google does not have any advice.

Question2, related to this topic

I have  modded xbox 360 that is NOT banned, and I do NOT intend to go on Internet with.
I want to be able to play original xbox games on, specifically Shrek Super Party

When I put my backup copy of Shrek Super Party into my 360 is says I need an update.

shrek super party is on the list:
http://www.xbox.com/...tygameslist.htm

On the xbox.com site is says I need update 9199 to play xbox games:
http://www.xbox.com/...stemupdates.htm
My question is:

Does 9199 mess up/brick/remove media center options from a unbanned, modded xbox 360
In other words, if I apply this update to my xbox will anything bad happen?
I plan to do the offline install of 9199 via USB key.
Thanks,
OF

HEY ummmm. GET OUT OF MY POST IDIOT.

And the andswer to the other guy. it just sits at a purpleish screen asking for an update disc and i have swapped it with a 100% percent working drive and got the same thing.

Really? Even after you transferred the key from one drive to the next or swapped PCB's?
