for the past couple days i have been irregularly receiving an e 74 error, in conjunction with graphical artifacts. because the artifacts take time to appear during play, assumed it had something to do with heat. tried to easiest solution, moved xbox to more ventilated location, placed external fan near it to blow air across. this solved the problem for the most part, but if i take fan away, or play for very extended sessions, problem returns.

any ideas what i should be looking at for a more permanent solution?
