I Want To Run Linux On My 360
« on: March 11, 2008, 06:19:00 PM »

Well, I flashed my BenQ drive hoping to be able to use the King Kong exploit to run linux.  I just found out that because I have this BenQ drive, my xbox must have a kernel that will not run that exploit.  I've heard that you can use a modchip called infectus and be able to downgrade your kernel, but it's not easy, and I'm no good with soldering.  So, what is the best way to run linux on my 360?

You have no choice but to downgrade if you are already above kernel 4532 or 4548.  For that, you need an infectus, downgrade addon, and a base kernel that will allow for downgrading.  If you want to gain some insight into how to do the above, start reading over at infectus.biz or xboxhacker.
