i plugged my box directly into the network card of my pc, then connect to broadband using gAyOL. whenever i try connecting to either xbconnect or gamespy my computer either freezes or resets, any ideas anyone? is there an alternative to the above 2 programs?

Try out Xlink but if you're already having problems it might be best to work them out first.
So as soon as you log into XBC your pc resets?
You might try detect ip auto. if you haven't.
