Well...to avoid data corruption besides 250gb (only Big F, not G), what bios are you using?

For 250gb you can use almost all the latest bios...
Like x2 4981, 4983
EvoxM8+
there are some chepamods that are updateables...
BTW, this topic is for more than 250gb, cause thats when the problem starts....
For 250 you´ll be fine with any of the above bios...

X2 5035 - 500Gb - F: 127GB 16k cluster G: 343GB 32k Cluster

X2 4983 - 320GB - F & G

M8+ - 320GB - F & G

I have not been able to find a bios that lets me split a F & G into equal parts with a 500GB HDD

Well...seems like 5032 es good for 250gb+ on F
With M8+ and 250gb+ (32k clusters) I have some bad experiencies....like xbmc hanging, and so many other weird things (no data corruption)

So, I cant reomend M8+ for 250gb+ on F, just use F + G or 5032... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

How about a bios that will support a 750GB drive?

I bet it will be a problem since 256 was the problem with huge drives.  Will LBA support going past 512?

everyone says the same thing. I have tried several bios with F & G support and the ignore HD partition table, but I have not been able to split F & G into equal parts.  So if he uses a 750Gb HDD he will only get F:127Gb and G:595Gb so even with 32k clusters he will get corruption on G after 512GB, lossing almost 100GB.

Now if anyone has been able to split F & G into equal part an can shared the process it will be much help.

You mention the bios, but you haven't mentioned using xbp.

Krayzie's seems to work fine with this.  just soft mod it and use xbe partitioner

This what I'm doing
IPB Image
I set XBpartition equal parts for 6 & 7
IPB Image
I Format
IPB Image
Exit back to UnleashX and this is what I get.
IPB Image
Turn off Xbox and then turn back on (reboot) and I get this.

I can't seem to be able to keep f & g at equal parts.

Have you installed a 500gb and made F & G into equal partition?

What is so important about having semetical F and G partions of equal size?  Am I missing something?  I would mostly be concerned that I have all the GB I am supposed to.  If I am clueless here, please let me know.
