I was talking to GreenGian on the #ozxodus channel, don't know who they really are, but they were very helpful, saying the smartXX diagram will work only for the smartXX chips, not Xeniums.

I'm not willing to risk my 1.6 and Xenium till it's confirmed, so can somebody else please blowup their xbox first? Cheers  beerchug.gif

HSDEMONZ: Will this diagram work with almost all LPC chips? Do we have to add wires on the top and bottom side of the mobo or will just on side do?

and where would one find the diagrams for something like that?

Thanks HSDEMONZ.. you have tried this yourself? And which install would be best and which diagram should I use for which install? I was leaning towards pin header because it is easier.  biggrin.gif

So.....what's the difference between M7 abd M8?  Besides the 1.6 compatibility, is there any reason to upgrade to M8?   uhh.gif

thanks for reading the nfo, this is m7 + 1.6 support.

maybe you should ask your chip manufacturer and/or reseller (for 1.6 compatibility and diagrams).  There is nothing in the bios that will stop it from working on any chip.

Thanks for not being a sarcastic ass about it.

"this is m7 + 1.6 support" would have been fine.   rolleyes.gif

- EvoX M8 bios
Due to the latest confusions, leaks etc. we have decided to make an official M8 release.
There are still some unsolved matters, so we will release it in two different versions:
* M8.BIN Is a new BIOS based on the latest 5838 kernel, and has the same features as M7, It will work on XBOX versions (1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5)
* M8_16.BIN Is also based on the 5838 kernel and has the same features as M7. It will ONLY work on XBOX version 1.6

Excuse me for getting clarification.

Why are there two diagrams?  It looks like they point to the same points, exept the bottom one is on the bottom of the mobo.  And it doesnt show the D0 point on the bottom pic.

just tried to create a 1mb bios for my x2.3b lite chip.. wont work.. X2BM wont reconize the bios to create a 1mb bios..   M8_16.bin is 256k.. and the lite chips uses 512k banks x 2

I think ur suppose to solder it to the header...like first the header the the rebuild

Scary thought: How can one tell if the bios is the official release or the bugged beta? mean ppl out there...might try to spread the beta and toast pplz boxes...
