If you wanted to have WIndows XP only on your XBOX and not play any games, then I am sure that you could reformat the hard drive, from FATX to FAT32, enabling it to run on the XBOX, but I think if it were that easy it would have happened way before now, so I say this as a suggestion. tongue.gif

yes, but the hardware is whats stopping this being done. i think its a problem with the bios (aand more specifically editing it). there might be a solution out there.
i woudl use it, just to go on the internet, and a new dash to load my xbox games (if thats possible), but not to play win games or nuttin like that.

oh wait that was just answered by a different site.

ok ok last question before sleep takes over sleeping.gif

1. will it save savegames, or install files just like if it was on a pc?

MOST IMPORTANT 2. Whats the difference in the xports version than the latest original version?

Sorry for the silly "n00b" questions, i'm just going to bed so hopefully you can answer them overnight, and i'm so excited i'm gonna play normality again and on my xbox!

Or i could play battle chess.

Ah...I would love to play Alone in the Dark on the XBox.

I think this is similar to how people want PS2 games to run on the XBox.  Sure Bochs emulates DOS, but A) Windows XP isn't just a DOS Shell like Windows 95 and earlier versions, it is a full fledged OS with it's own file system and cool.gif Even though XPs requirement is 128MB, theoretically if you could somehow get XP on Bochs, it would end up requiring more memory and CPU because of the fact it is emulated.  But frankly I can't blame people for being curious.  My best recommendation is if you have an idea, try it.  If it doesn't work oh well, you will learn from it.  I mean, since when has trying to put XP on an XBox ever hurt someone...well except for that cat I killed...but that was an accident.
