Sorry I don't have an answer.  I have the same problem and can't solve it.
Router: Linksys BEFSR41
Port forwarding set up correctly two different ways, UPnP and Port Range Forwarding.  I still can't get into X-link though.  My ip is dynamic.
I would love to know if you got yours to work right.
