Game Freezes...

I don't really know where this belongs  but I'll put it in here to start with and we'll see where it ends up.

I've been playing Final Fantasy VII psx rom on my xbox (using pcsxbox emulator.)

I played cd1 and it worked completely fine. Same with cd2 up until 1 certain point where it just freezes. The music still continues in the background but you cannot move any characters nor does the screen change. It just sits the same way.

Also coming up to the freeze, there is a slight glitch where the screen turns black for about half a second but characters seem to move fine after this glitch. I dont think it has much to do with it but I though id throw it in just in case.

Do you think I should download a saved game and try and load it at a future point in the disc?

I'm really stuck for answers so any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.
