when i try to join the channel, it says

#xbins unable to join channel (invite only)

WTF??? usually works for me...

The Xbins channel probably has been "hijacked" by script kids.

Just wait till it get back online/controlled  by the 'xbins crew' again.

Is #Xbins down?  I just tried over 10 Efnet servers and can't join the #xbins channel.  It says #xbins is now invite only.  I've never had problems connecting to #xbins before.

I might be wrong on this, but I think it's xbins.org (still looks the same) , never looked at xbins.com

Still my guess is their Efnet IRC channel has been 'hijacked' (taken over) by others (hacking teens), probably using some kind of 'war-script'.

Just sit it out, be patient, shrug

First of all and i mean no disrespect by this but this isnt the forum for this.

Second off the chanel is on invite only because of a flood of users.....try back in a couple hours  smile.gif

Ya, there were some netsplits earlier today, some of the bots got confused and set the channel +i thinking it was a flood.  That SHOULD have been removed automatically after a few mins... but didnt.

All is well now though  smile.gif

PS: there has never been a channel takeover in the almost 3 years that channel has existed.

It obveousley means the server or chat room is having a repeat or some other technical difficulties, be calm, it will be back soon. happy.gif
