165!?!?!? HOLY FUCK...on a PC, that woulda been close to frying it for sure.

dunno whats up w/ the xbox...but runs very high...thinking of a way to get a fan on the heatsinks for the GPU and CPU.

Well, wrong or not, I think this is a good way to compare systems.

I have a 120gig Maxtor 7200RPM and I installed a side case fan mod to help keep the HD cool.
And it seems my temps for cpu/mb are right on spot with everyone else's, so the person who said the temps actually rise with the change in air circulation, I dunno man.

I got mb45/cpu54 after 1 and a half hour of playing Need For Speed with my own music, game running completly off the HD.

sad.gif , requires special testing equipment [ which I do not own but is available to me at my place of employment and I actually had the person that uses the equipment daily do the test ] . From his results EvoX is reading the temps too high by approx. 8-12 F .

Mb: 44C
CPU: 57C

uptime 24-30 hours.

More or less constant uploading to xbox.

roomtemp=23 C

If that says anything.

QUOTE
One tip that generally works for ALL equipement:
Place it near the ground, as air temperature is always much cooler
towards the ground. Sure does help if you need to dispensate som heat.

Thanks for the n00b advice. I'm glad you assumed I didn't know that. His xbox is like 30 degrees below what everyone else's xbox is and that was the reason for my comment. Also not that it matters but when you're trying to sound smart..... it's NOT spelled "dispensate". I'm glad I knew what you were talking about anyway......
