LMAO what a rip. I orderd an ice last night to do an install and it cost me 50.99 for the regular chip package. For 10 bucks more than you paid for the adapter you could have the whole chip. Now thats a ripoff.

Alot of things are a rip off to different people.

Why eat a $25 steak when you can eat a $1.00 burger at McDonalds, both are beef aren't they?

Buying a X3 & Xapt3r for $55 & $24 is not exactly a bargain either, with less functionality.

It really comes down to what the consumer is interested in or requires.

Also, the pricing is what is suggest by the manufacturer and on a great innovative product like this we must respect that.

BTW, the chip alone is priced at $45.95 which is one the lowest prices around!

you don't even need a modchip in order to mod your box, they are called softmods, or Tsop flashs.

If you want to go the way of installing a mod chip and have a 1.6 XBOX and do not want to mess it up by risking soldering then the XENIUM SP ICE would be the best choice.

Otherwise, if you don't mind soldering any chip will do or as stated a TSOP flash etc..

The only other available solution would be the spider chip, and at the moment there have been a few issues. The spider chip is also inferior in features to the Xenium by far.
