i just bought a 160GB wester digital hdd and i was wondering it came with a EIDE interface cable can i use it in my xbox with the original hdd in it? the interface cable is 40-pin, 80-conductor

You can exchange the stock drive with the one you bought by following tuts.  However, you cannot hook another hdd on there.  

Actually, you can with custom switches, but (no offence) maybe over you head.
