Occasional No Sound
« on: January 23, 2004, 11:13:00 PM »

Somtimes I just get plain no sound, I get viedo and it looks fine, I just have to unplug and re plug shit back in. What could Be casuing this?

EDIT/ Well now I get no sound at all :(!!! What Can I do to fix?!?! I know its not the adapter Ive tried 2 different adapters on 2 differnet tv's, I think it might be the IDE cable because there is a tiny tiny tiny small nuke in it, Where you can barley see the wire, but i covered it w/ elec tape. Could that be it? Shit now I get the Serivce screen!! SHIT SHIT

What PACK are you using?

4 things I can think of off the bat.

Bad PACK (advanced AV/HD pack/Stock Cables)
Bad Cables
Loose port on Xbox
Loose Ports on TV/Reciever

IF you unplug the AV from the back of the back of the Xbox then plug it back in and get sound again then I feel the PAck or Wires you are using are bad or the AV port is loose and not making a connection with the Pack/wires your using.

Start there

Then let us know more so we can help you.

Take an IDE cable out of your computer (power down first) and test it in the Xbox.

If it works, you have an IDE cable problem. If it doesnt work, move on to the next most likely error.
