1.6 Install Blues

Well, I bought the xbit 1.5 and 1.6 adapter because the solderless install interested me. Unfortunately it's apparent that the x-bit is the hardest chip to install on a 1.6. Anywho, instead of using the adapter, we're not fans of wires =/, we decided to go with the pinheader install plus the LPC rebuild, because theoretically I don't see why this wouldn't work. Unfortunately I'm having trouble soldering the d0 point on this damn thing. It's so small that I can't solder the point. I just want to know a) if anyone has an tips on soldering the d0. And cool.gif if anyone agrees that the pinheader install should work once I get the d0 grounded. Thanks

Alright thanks, my friend and I are going to be working on it tomorrow to finish up the d0 point and pray it works. One question I have though, in case it doesn't work. If I use the 1.6 adapter and do the wire installation, do I still have to do the LPC rebuild and ground d0 point, or is that taken care of by the wires? Thanks.
