I triple check all connections wire, invert the green/brown on lpc, and I rebuild lpc follow Dms instructions...
Nothing

the xbox boot normally if the chip is not install..
I flash the chip with M8_1.6.bin but nothing..
Any suggestions?

I am new to modchipping. I bout an xbit 1.5 with 1.6 adapter and soldered the wired and at first nothing happened it would boot to the MS dash then because of my new hd that is preloaded with evox, it gave me this need service message. So idecided to do the lpc rebuild well all done with that and nothing happens at all. oh yeah when i use the xbot software to flasth bios i get errors out the wazoo but i cick ok on them and then it finally flashed without a problem and verifes.

i dont know if im doing something wrong the lpc rebuild could be a little messy for the micro tiny points i had to solder i used extra wire from the regular solder wires on the chip is that too big for the holes should i use something smaller

You probably should have used 30AWG wire for the rebuild, also, have you got the 1.6 adaptor?

ok i have resoldered all points verifed the bois resoldered all rebuild points and now it does not boot at all the eject button just flashed red and green

i resoldered all connections once again, flashed and verified bios. when i turn on xbox the green ring flashed on and off 3 times then goes into flashing red and greeen. no visual on screen.

xbit 1.5 with 1.6 adapter soldered adapter wires, completed lpc rebuild (soldering so good it brought a tear to my eye). bios used evox m8+1.6 -Aware of green brown wire issue. still no luck. i have a brand new hd 120g preloaded with evox dash and nothing happens no bios no nothing but what is described above. anyone can help much appreciated.

Thephost, I just wanted to say thanks. I had been looking for some sort of help ever since I got the chip, realized I had a 1.6, and would have to....gasp...solder

So, any 1.6 rebuild kit (xecuter 1.6 rebuild kit for example) should work with the xbit 1.5 mod chip, is that correct?

Pretty self explanatory, just connect those points and youv rebuilt the LPC

all these pic links are dead. anyone had or seen pics for the v1.6/1.6b install. sounds simple enough but not getting chip to boot. simple pic to verify what is being said would be great.
