Now that all of you have read the OLD way to backup games, i suggest you spend some time looking at the NEW and IMPROVED way to make backups.

http://xboxlyt.freeu...cs/tutorial.htm

Spread the word on this.  games run quieter and load faster.  I verified this myself with full spectrum warrior.

QUOTE (korleone @ Sep 8 2004, 04:30 AM)
Hey,
Read your tutorial on how to burn Xbox games with Qwix. Great stuff thanks and easy to use. Can you tell me though why it needs to be optimised? I backed-up Batman Vengence and the iso was 3.1gb but after optimise it was 775mb. Nero rejected it and it doesnt play in the Xbox. Can I use the 3.1gb iso? Why do you optimise??? Cheers.

i dont mean optimize by removing files, it is ment to keep the files in the same order on the disc for faster read times by decreasing seek times.  For example if an original disc layout is D A C B when you backup following baseball's method or any other you will get a disk like A B C D.  Maybe A and D have to be used frequently together so now you have to seek to the other end of the disc to read them.  When you optimize you retain the original layout D A C B thus making your backup more close to the original disc.
