How Do I Copied Saved Games From My Hdd

I installed a 250 gig HDD in my xbox and it has been working great for 8 months.  All of the sudden it wont allow me to copy a game to it or even save a game I am playing.   I have over 100 gigs of free space left.   So I was going to try to rebuild it using evox and see if that does anything.  I am sure there are a million better ways to fix it, but all I am asking for is what partition and file I can find the data from saved games in so I can FTP it to my PC to have when my HDD is working again.  By saved games I dont mean full games copied to my HDD, I mean saved progress in a game.  Thank you.
