. i remember an article in oxbm (i think) that said the hard disk doesnt need to be defragged because of the new fs. the only reason i see that it doesnt need to be defragged is cuz the utility drives get erased/formated every time a different game is loaded.

but anyways... is there stuff you read in the xdk? and if so what help topic is it in. or did you guys just poke around with a custom prog you made to spit the contents of the fat to the screen...

if you got somewhat small f-drives, play with the last versions - added a health report thing that is quite detailed.
it went out of mem on my f-disk tho, but I added it anyway for people with smaller drives / for e:.

you know that your HDD needa a defrag, when it takes forever to load games, the HDD goes mental while looking at movies or when you run the status report thinge and it tells you that "you'd better defrag - now!"

mine scans c e and f just about perfect but it says 0 fragments...

i have 120GB drive and it didn't lock if i went to scandisk before doing other things
