hey eeveryone.
i have a maxtor 3200
IPB Image
and i want to install windows vista on it. but you cannot install it on USB devices.
so i want to open it up, put it in an IDE slot, install vista, then put it back in its enclosour.
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU OPEN IT!
theres no screws, or anything. i cant do it.
can anyone help me. thanks

You need a small flat head screwdriver. You insert the flathead in corners next to the where the power and usb plug in. Next you just wiggle the flat head in the crack and then lift up on the screwdriver until you here a pop. Then repeat on the other corner. Once you get the 2 front corners poped you just slide the top peice of plastic back. Then you can see the guts. Its easy to take the hard drive out from there.

that doesn't work. ive just mangled my drive case. could someone take some pictures or point out the places with a diagram that i put the screw driver in.
