Does the xbox 360 display 1080p resolution for games or does it just upscale the 720p that it normally renders? I ask because I've tested halo 3 with both 720p and 1080p on my p.o.s. crt as well as 2 lcd's and from what I can tell, only the dashboard resolution changes. I picked a nice spot with lots of jaggies and no matter what resolution I used (even 640x480) there were exactly the same number of pixels per square inch displayed onscreen. The only visible difference was the dashboard, and scanlines at 640x480. Can anybody else confirm this?
