" Open Tray " Issus With Lite-on
« on: January 14, 2009, 02:38:00 AM »

i have flash this drive about 20 times now i am still getting " Open Tray " wont detect disc's nothing at all

i have flashed it with Jungle Flasher, Dosflash 16 & 32

any other ideas? i properly erased it i have also tryed 2 differn't sata cards one was a onboard NF4 chipset the other is my VIA 6421a pci card ( yes drivers are completely uninstalled i just installed a fresh copy of XP )

i have also taken a MS-28 drive and spoofed the fw for a lite-on with the GOOD dvd drive key i got after making yaywoops home made device which by the way many many props for that i had a little trouble at the begginng but i eventually figured it out and am now working on a more advanced model of mine as mine looks really ghettofyde hahah lol

so if anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appriciated as i would like to use my lite-on drive over my ms-28 as i am a bit lerrie with going online with it as it is a spoofed drive- o and i know my games work perfectly fine both new burns nhl 09 and cod waw both work perfect in my other 360 ( hitachi )

thanks in advanced   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

K try this....I posted it for another user and it worked for him...

1> Dump the key with DVDKey32_v0.7
2> Copy FIRMTOOL.EXE and the default ix15-liteon.bin into the DVDKey32_v0.7 folder.
3> In command prompt type "FIRMTOOL.EXE Dummy.bin ix15-liteon.bin"
4> The create a bootable flash drive with iprep or anything else.
5> Now copy the following files onto the flashdrive into the same directory:
ix15-liteon.bin (the firmware we prepared in step 3)
DosFlash.exe (from DosFlash16)
DosFlash.typ (from DosFlash16)
L-O-ERAS.EXE (from Lite-On-Erase)
6> Now boot to the flash drive and type "L-O-ERAS.EXE SATAPORT" eg: L-O-ERAS.EXE 4400 and press enter.
7> Keep sending that command till you get xx72. If you don't get it after 10 tries and keep getting xx80 then power cycle the drive.
8> Once erased type "dosflash.exe" and press enter.
9> select you drive number from the list (mine was 4) and press enter.
10> Press W and press enter.
11> type the name of your prepared firmware: "ix15-liteon.bin" or whatever.

That sounds like what i'm goin through. After flashing, I put a disc in (original or backup) and it will load or try to load for the first 10-20 seconds before it DREs. After a few tries I get open tray with anything I throw in there.  Have you tried restoring back to the original f/w to see if it fixes the problem with originals atleast? I'll try myself when I get home from work tomorrow.

5 times between jungle flashers and dvdkey32

im starting to think it does have something to do with my inquire and identify files i took a real close look at them with jungle flash if you look at the right hand side where it shows u the name and stuff of the drive like serial number and what not it shows u the 17 digit serial number from the drive well when i look at my two files every number/letter matches except the last one it should be a P but insted its a 0 so im thinking maybe i should dump the inquire and identify and key files once again?

Did you compare all 5 sets between each other to confirm valid results? If you did then I seriously have no idea what the issue could be. Sorry  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

only thing i really compaird was the key just to make sure it was a good key hence dvdkey and jungle said it was a good key and all, and all the keys check out all the same - i didnt check the idnity and inquire only because no one here has mentioned anything about that or i might have over read it somewhere?
