Wma9 Lossless Support Added?!?!
« on: February 16, 2004, 01:40:00 PM »

I was just screwing around with SMB shares and, for a quick test pointed the share to my main music folder on my PC which is filled with WMA9 Lossless audio files. In all previous versions of XBMC these files wouldn't even appear. I only pointed at this folder because under it is another file with a bunch of WAV files.

This time the files appeared, I clicked on them and they played!

Why was this fantastic addition not mentioned or am I overlooking something?

The only problem was that they were VERY choppy even on a 54MB wireless network though this build has been choppy for me even with locally stored WAV files.

If XBMC now supports WMA9 Lossless, we finally have a solid lossless file format for audio that support full ID3 tagging and is supported by the major PC players out there. Between this and weather support I'm a happy camper!
