I all!
Although the chip I installed was a Aladdin Live, I am hoping I could get some help here because I do not think this has something to do with the chip itself.
Pinheader install. I used Slayers 2.6 auto installer and the deal was closed. The customer then called me up a couple of days later saying the box suddenly started was fragging. I got it back and asumed this was a loose wire, but it all looked nice inside the box. I removed the chip, reprogrammed it with a proper bios (actually the same bios) and reinstalled it.
It didn't work so I re-did the wires NUMEROUS times.
Suddenly it worked so I screw the box back together and smiled.
I re-ran Slayers to be on the safe side and all was good. Both MS Dash and Aladdin.
But suddenly it started fragging again! Both on MS Dash and Aladdin! I've opened up and reinstalled the chip twice and redone the wires nuuuumerous times (always with new wires ofcourse) but no cigar!
Now I have removed the chip all together to no avail!!
How should I approach this? Should I simply buy the customer a new box?? ( Which a poor student poorly could afford..)
My world would be sooo much sunnier with this problem solved..
I am going to bed now hoping there would be good news when I wake up!
