I installed my X3 tonight on my 1.6 Xbox. I plugged the chip in, turned the system on, and what I get is a black screen where the front eject LED stays orange. If I press eject, the system resets. The Disc tray will not open. If I unplug the chip, everything boots as normal. I am using the original AV cord that came with the system. If anyone could give me a reason why nothing is on screen, i would very much appreciate it. Thank you.

Also, I can hear the Hard Drive spin up and the DVD tray makes a noise. The blue LEDs on the X3 do light up.

pal or ntsc box ?

if pal try switching to pal 60.

Mine is doing the same thing, except my dvdrom drive will still open. i would appreciate some help if there is any out there.

use composite av cables for flashbios v3.0.0 on v1.6

I got it working! I screwed up, thinking the Reset/eject adapter was optional. I got it flashed and all.
I still get the orange light/ black screen when i hit both buttons to turn the system on however. Maybe i got a badly flashed backup bios?
