????

if you have a pin, it still needs to go in a hole,

if you dont have a hole then two choices,

1) make a hole (desolder)
2) solder wires into the hole

either way some soldering or desoldering is needed!

Just use the wire install, No need to remove any solder. It's prolly easier than the header pin too. You could probably do the whole thing without using any solder.

well im going to try dangling the pins over the lpc ports and that way it should make a contact althought it could possibly not be 100% stable

If you are talking about a pogo install, then it should "work" as well as any pogo install!

Nothin beats a good header pin install though! ;)

just realised that you have posted this twice, both times in the wrong forums!

one in general h/w, one in  case + h/w modding, should be in newbie chat!

Umm, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't all of the X2+ modchips designed to be used WITH the lpc holes filled?

AFAIK, all pogo pin modchips work best with filled solder holes.

Can't say for sure, as I haven't used Pogos since the Matrix.
