Can you flash your onboard BIOS with X-ecuter or not, have anyone tried?
I have read other post about this, and I have heard both that you can flash the onboard BIOS and that you cant.

as long as u solder the 2 jumpers on the motherboard, i don't see why not.

Some guy at xboxhacker wrote that you cant, beacause it is an LPC mod!?

that doesnt sound correct the evo & xtender bios's are both used in flash & lpc roms & not to forget the onboard chip aswell......

Because when you use an LPC mod you are disabling the onboard bios...

How can you flash something you can not access?

I can confirm that you CANNOT flash the onboard bios with xecuter installed, I tried and it wouldnt do it.
I didnt want to install all 29 wires of an extender chip coz it looked a bit 'ard and when xecuter came out I was all joyous and happy as I had already flashed another box that had an extender chip installed by www.modconsole.co.uk , the flash worked and I thought I'd be able to flash all my friends consoles using the xecuter easy install chip.

turns out that I had to install the extender anyway, got some advice from modconsole and practiced on an old pci card and went and did it, it worked and I have done 4 more since then that all installed with extender first time.

Mr.X , you'll have to use a different mod if you want to flash, or wait until the extension kit comes out for the xecuter which lets you do the same but with an xecuter installed.

just fit an xecuter - you dont have to worry about flashing shit then

cyrusuncc, yes I did disable the chip before trying to flash, tried it attached with wires, attached to mobo, everything.

mr.X - the extension kit got talked about on here a while ago, dont know anything else about it, try the chipmakers site.
