Eeprom Question Regarding Smartxx V3

Recently, I had a Motherboard die on me with a locked 250gb drive chocked full of data. I do not have a backup eeprom and have no idea of the password. I see that the SmartXX v3 has alot of eeprom features, including one called eeprom repair. Is this of any benfit to my situation. I would really like to be able to recover this drive.
