I was having somewhat the same problem, I was the evox.ini file got corrupted during transfer. If you have an evox boot disc, boot from it then FTP a new evox.ini and reboot the box. Hope this helps.

Try to reprogram the matrix with another dash as default or try and ftp a dash named evoxdash.xbe over to the xbox hdd.  At least this will allow you to use a dash.  I think that something with the evox hdd and your bios is causeing it to reboot.  Plus if someone evil took and changed your evox.ini to just reboot your xbox then I guess that would be easy to fix.  Just get a default evox.ini and place it there.

Here's the facts.  Please advise.

Had matrix working for 6+ months no issues at all.

Now all of a sudden I am getting the x2 bios loads from the matrix ( i am getting the xecuter 2 logo )then reboots.

this happens indefinetly.

I have a 1.0 xbox with a 80gb Maxtor drive locked.
and the xir installed.

I can disable the matrix by putting in mode 1 or testing mode and my xbox boots properly just like a factory xbox.
but no can't boot evox or backed up games on dvds.

I have pulled the matrix reprogrammed. and reinstalled / allinged and all i get are these reboots.

I hope some one can please help.

NOTE:  I have had the X2 4976.02 bios working with my system.

somehow this will boot dvds and cd rw but still now evox from the hd.  even when i use boxexplorer and execute the evoxdash.xbe it just reboots my xbox.  Please help.  can execute everything else even replaced with new evox..  Please advise.
